My M&M Cookie Pie features a slightly dense, soft center with a chewy exterior, packed with chocolate chips and colorful M&Ms. I’m a little obsessed with cookie pies — a giant deep-dish cookie loaded with chocolate and candies is hard to resist.

Cookie pies are perfect for any occasion: serve as a dessert, cut into snack-sized wedges, or scoop it warm straight from the dish. I like having a reliable base recipe that delivers consistent results and can be easily customized — or even turned into cookie dough for no-bake treats.

For this version I kept things simple. No salted caramel, no hot fudge, no cheesecake filling — just a classic chocolate chip cookie pie studded with M&Ms. It’s versatile: bake it until it’s risen and golden for a fluffy result like in the photos, or shorten the bake by 5–10 minutes for a gooier, denser center if you prefer indulgent textures.

Want it even gooier? Spoon half a can of sweetened condensed milk into the center before baking. The condensed milk helps the pie bake through while leaving the middle irresistibly soft — a great trick for lovers of ooey-gooey desserts.

With the holidays approaching I’ve finished my gift shopping and stocked up on ingredients for festive baking — just in time. What will you be baking this season?
