Basic pizza sauce is widely available in tins and jars at any supermarket, but there’s no need to buy it ready-made. Making a simple sauce from scratch is quick, economical, and far more flavorful. While some cooks prefer to simmer their sauces—especially when preserving large batches or gifting jars—this recipe uses a raw approach. The sauce will cook on the pizza in a very hot oven, so there’s no need to pre-cook it.
