Before the recipe, a couple of quick notes: use an ice bath after cooking to make peeling easy, and consider topping the finished eggs with a sprinkle of paprika or Everything Bagel seasoning for a modern twist.

6 eggs
¼ cup light mayonnaise
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1–2 tablespoons sweet relish, to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
A dash of hot sauce (Texas Pete or your favorite), optional
Paprika for garnish
1 cup water (for the Instant Pot)
How to Make Instant Pot Deviled Eggs with Relish
- Arrange the eggs in the Instant Pot. You can place them directly in the inner pot, on the trivet, or in an egg rack.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the pot.
- Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
- Set the Instant Pot to manual pressure for 5 minutes.
- When the cooking time ends, allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes—this helps the shells peel off easily.
- Peel the eggs and slice them lengthwise.
- Remove the yolks and mash them in a bowl. Stir in the light mayonnaise, yellow mustard, sweet relish, a dash of hot sauce if using, and salt and pepper to taste. Adjust relish and seasoning as desired.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Sprinkle with paprika and serve chilled.
Servings: 12 deviled halves (from 6 whole eggs)
Tips for Cooking and Storing
- To check egg freshness, place eggs in a bowl of water; discard any that float.
- Store deviled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator and eat within 3–4 days.
- For easier handling when removing eggs from the pot, use a slotted spoon, trivet, or egg rack.
