I snapped this photo during a recent outing exploring one of the older neighborhoods in our city. The image shows the front of an old monastery that has been converted into condominiums. I went with a few friends and my somewhat reluctant daughter, and it was a delightful reminder of how much there is to discover close to home. Walking through familiar streets with fresh eyes can turn an ordinary day into a small adventure.
Exploring local history and architecture revealed unexpected details and stories. I’ll share more photos and observations from our day in a future post.
