Description
Soft Greek yogurt bagels studded with chocolate chips and finished with a sprinkle of sea salt — simple, fast, and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt, plus more for topping
- 1 cup thick whole milk Greek yogurt
- Chocolate chips (to taste)
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, and salt. Fold in the Greek yogurt until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Add chocolate chips and gently knead to distribute them, adding a little more flour if the dough is too sticky. Aim for a smooth, slightly tacky ball.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a round bagel, making a small hole in the center — they will spread a bit while baking.
- Brush each bagel with the beaten egg, sprinkle with sea salt and extra chocolate chips if desired. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool 5–10 minutes before slicing and toasting.
